What we collect

When you submit the quote request form on this website, we collect:

• Email address
• Phone number
• Postcode
• Approximate monthly electricity bill
• Property type
• Your consent to be contacted (recorded as a timestamp)
• The page you submitted the form from
• The date and time of submission

We do not collect any special category data. We do not purchase data from third parties.

Why we collect it

We use your information to prepare a solar, battery storage or heat pump quotation tailored to your property, to contact you about that quotation, and to pass your details to our installation partner so they can arrange a survey and quote.

Who receives your data

• Scottish Energy Efficiency — the parent brand that operates this service.
• Home Heating Services (Scotland) Ltd — our MCS-certified installation partner (company SC484353), who will contact you to arrange a survey and prepare a detailed quote.
• Zapier Inc. — a data processor we use to route form submissions securely. Zapier processes your data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your data with anyone other than those listed above.

Lawful basis

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent checkbox on the quote form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@scottishenergyefficiency.co.uk or calling 0141 230 0198.

How long we keep it

We retain your personal data for 24 months from the date of your last contact with us, unless a contract for installation follows, in which case the installation partner's own retention policy applies to data they hold.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
